About Medpace

Medpace is a full-service clinical contract research organization (CRO) providing Phase I-IV clinical development services to the biotechnology, pharmaceutical and medical device industries. We leverage local regulatory and therapeutic expertise across all major areas including oncology, cardiology, metabolic disease, endocrinology, central nervous system, anti-viral and anti-infective. Medpace was founded over 30 years ago in Cincinnati Ohio, USA and currently employs more than 5,000 people across 40+ countries.

Medpace is continuing to grow in all areas globally and has built an expansive research campus at its headquarters in Cincinnati, OH. While we have worked in Japan for many years, Medpace developed a physical presence in Japan in 2018 by opening an office in Tokyo. We have since grown to over 100 associates represented across multiple functional areas, including Clinical Operations, Medical & Regulatory Affairs, Data Sciences, Clinical Safety, Quality Assurance, Business Development, Human Resources, and Information Technology. Dan Feldman
Representative of Medpace Japan and Vice-President Strategic Development APAC
  • Worked with bio-pharmaceutical and medical device companies to provide medical affairs, regulatory affairs, and clinical operations expertise to accelerate approval of their drugs and devices in Asia.
  • At Medpace, work with sponsors to understand their clinical study program requirements including budgets, timelines, and geographies, and respond with proposals that will deliver the greatest value.
  • With 40+ years in Asia, fluent in Japanese, helping our clients to accelerate their entry into the fastest growing part of the world market.
Isamu Sahara
Director, Clinical Monitoring
  • More than 35 years’ experience in pharmaceutical industry at mega pharmaceutical makers and global CRO.
  • Led the first global study as a Lead CRA, was a first GCP Training Manager, delivered onboarding training for the new hires and new graduates.
  • Managed team of CRAs at a global CRO, re-designed and facilitated the new graduate onboarding training program as a Senior Manager.
  • Managed Quality Management group, developed local SOP, planned SOP deviation reviewing, management Sponsor audit/PMDA inspections, and QMS operation.
Noriyuki Ikeno
Associate Director, Site Activation & Maintenance
  • 28 years' business experience in pharmaceutical and CRO industry, including 12 years' experience as CRA, Trial Leader and Project Manager.
  • In addition, 16 years' experience in management of clinical operations, corporate planning, bio-venture business and Investment/M&A.
